Anyone out there?

It has been a long time...and if anyone out there is still checking our blog then there is a treat in store for you...lots of posts (6 to be exact) and millions of pictures.  You actually have to click on "older posts" to view all of them.  I'm guessing the only person still reading this is a blood relative...most likely a Grandma.  I hope you enjoy the last few crazy months of our family, I know we have.

Carter Turns 6!!!

Carter boy just turned six!  He wanted legos and Plants vs Zombies toys.  That pretty much sums it up. Unfortunately, the only place making Plants vs. Zombie toys is China.  Of course.  So, 17 days later I am still waiting and now Carter is waiting too.  I tried to spin it like, "wow Carter how cool that you have a present coming from China" (I hope you get it before you are out of your Zombie phase).  Anyway, we had a lot of fun visiting Carter at school for lunch, going out to dinner as a family, opening presents, and having a Monster Mash Birthday Party for his friends.

Eating lunch with Carter at Coyote Ridge Elementary.

He got a cool Zombie sticker.

Here is Carter with his presents.  Only a Grandma would make "Zombie Wrapping Paper".

Invisible Kool-aid!

I think he is in love...Zombie legos!

Staring at his monster cake.

No, I didn't  make it.  You will see why if you ever make it to looking at Cole's 8th Birthday on an earlier post below.

Welcome to the party!

The monster on the right we used for "Pin the Eye on the Monster".  And then during the obstacle course we used both monsters to shoot at.

Carter and his buddies.  His party was made up of soccer friends and friends from school/church.

No monsters in my backyard!!! They loved this game.

Caroline gets to go to preschool once a week!

I think she needs a bigger backpack.

She is growing up too fast.  I know that in no time she will be headed off with the boys :(

Boise Summer Trip

We went on our annual summer trip to Boise/McCall.  This year we rented a condo in McCall and stayed up there for a week.  McCall is a little lake town 2 hours north of Boise.  All of my siblings and their kids and my parents went.  Every morning we would do an activity like hiking or playing kickball or going on a scavenger hunt and then break for lunch and then meet up again at the beach for some boating and beach time.  At night we had campfires, smores, fireworks, and bat watches.  The kids really enjoyed the great outdoors.
Here are a million pictures...in no particular order..sorry.

Uncle Jason teaching Carter about Plants vs Zombies.  This is were the obsession begins...

Caroline giving scores to the kids on the slip n slide in Grandma and Papa's backyard.

Family tube ride!

Carter was so brave and tried skiing a bunch of times.

family game night

If Cole wasn't riding in the boat or on the tube he would go out in this little raft and float around for what seemed like hours.

Here we are in action and looking our best :)

Papa lighting off fireworks from the dock

Going on a chairlift ride to the top of Brundage mountain.

Just in case I never do this again.

We went to the very classy "Meridian Speedway".  The boys had a ball watching the cars race and crash.

Caroline going down the slide at the water park.

She is so independent, she would carry her own tube all the way to the top...and then proceed to walk to the front of the line.

Scooter rides!!!

Carter taking Caroline on a ride.

All the grandkids!

Grandma and Caroline out in the water.

I'm sure Caroline is helping Anson.

King of the hike!

I know I won't be doing this again.

Take it slow Grandpa :)

Here are Cole's favorite riding buddies.

On the chairlift.

Back to the speedway!!
