Blue Devils and Missionary Mania...

Spring Break came and went so quickly I almost forgot to post about it.  We went to visit Grandma and Papa Bernhisel in North Carolina.  They are serving as Mission Presidents in the NC Raleigh Mission.  This was such a treat for Preston and I to go back to see them and see all of our favorite places from Law School.  We have such fond memories there.

We got to experience first hand, life in the mission home!  Boy, is it a busy place.  I never knew missionaries were so high maintenance :0  J/K.  It was really neat to get to see a lot of missionaries coming into the field and also on their way home.  Grandma and Papa are such wonderful Mission Presidents and it was so neat to see them in action.  Here are a few of our highlights from our trip:

They stick out a little bit in this crowd.

Future Cameron Crazies

Children, this is the place where your father was living like a homeless man, sleeping in a tent just to get a golden ticket, a golden season ticket to see the Dukies.

Moment of silence please

Here we are at a super fun children's museum in Raleigh.

Lyndi came from Atlanta to visit the last couple of days we were there.  Caroline was so excited to have Annie be her buddy.  And Rhett is a sweet, handsome little boy.  Sorry bud, no pictures of you?
I must have forgotten to take more pictures.  Thanks Lyndi for making the trek up to see us!!!

Puppy Love...

Well, Preston and I finally caved.  We got a dog...not only a dog, a puppy. That is even crazier.
I'm sure that is what you are thinking.
The kids woke up Easter morning and after doing the Easter egg hunt and having breakfast we informed the kids that there was one more surprise waiting for them.  In my bedroom was a letter to them from their dog...Dexter.  He asked them to come and see him and his brothers and sisters and that very soon he would come home with them.
The kids were so excited.  The pictures below show how it all happened.

Reading the letter from their dog.

Going to visit the puppies at about 4 weeks on Easter.
There were 5 boys and 3 girls.  Their momma was a sweet Golden Retriever and the Daddy was a handsome Standard Poodle.  The breed is called a Golden Doodle.

Bringing sweet Dex home.  He was so good in the car.

Carter reading to Dexter.  This boy has a new best friend.

Week 7!  Dexter boy is doing great and getting settled.  He cried the first night and we were wondering what we had done.  But after that first night he has been sleeping through the night.  We are still working on the potty training, but hopefully he will have it down soon.

Ready to run!

Spring Time Happenings...

Here are a few pics of our Spring time events.  Nothing too exciting but enough to keep us busy.  I don't have any recent pics of Cole riding his therapy horse Pooh bear, but he has been doing great on his Saturday morning rides.

32!  One year older and wiser too!

 Cute Cowgirl

Forgot to mention in the earlier post that Cole got his tonsils out!
He was a champ through it all.

This is the only time we are cheering for the Astros.

Caroline and her buddies up to no good.

I believe this is when the mommy was out on a girls night.

Never know when you might need another pair.
