Well, Preston and I finally caved. We got a dog...not only a dog, a puppy. That is even crazier.
I'm sure that is what you are thinking.
The kids woke up Easter morning and after doing the Easter egg hunt and having breakfast we informed the kids that there was one more surprise waiting for them. In my bedroom was a letter to them from their dog...Dexter. He asked them to come and see him and his brothers and sisters and that very soon he would come home with them.
The kids were so excited. The pictures below show how it all happened.

There were 5 boys and 3 girls. Their momma was a sweet Golden Retriever and the Daddy was a handsome Standard Poodle. The breed is called a Golden Doodle.

Week 7! Dexter boy is doing great and getting settled. He cried the first night and we were wondering what we had done. But after that first night he has been sleeping through the night. We are still working on the potty training, but hopefully he will have it down soon.
