First Piano Recital

Here is the video from the boys' first piano recital (see photos in the prior post below).  They did a great job fighting through the jitters of performing in front of a crowd, which naturally slowed down their playing from the versions they whip through at home.   We're enjoying this likely temporary phase in which they actually enjoy practicing (even sneaking in a few minutes of piano while waiting for the bus--much to the chagrin of Karee who is trying to catch up on needed sleep).

Cambelle's Blessing Day

What could be better on Mother's Day then blessing your baby?
Sweet Cambelle was blessed last Sunday and it was such a wonderful blessing.
We feel so blessed to have this sweet little girl in our home.

Caroline's Spring Program

Caroline had a Spring Program at her school.  They sang a few songs as a group and then her class sang the 5 little monkey song.  Caroline was so cute.  Go Gators.

Piano Recital

The boys had their first piano recital.  The theme of the recital was "Going to the Movies".  Carter played Darth Vader's Theme or Imperial March.  Cole played Somewhere Over the Rainbow.  And they played a duet to the James Bond Theme song.
I was so impressed by their poise and confidence.
They both did a great job.

Easter

Born to be wild

Caroline recently learned to ride her bike.  She asked Preston to take off her training wheels on her bike in the backyard.  She climbed on her bike, cowboy boots and all, and promptly rode straight into the pool.  Crazy girl!  After a few tears, dry clothes and Preston retrieving the bike from the bottom of the pool she climbed back on and went full speed ahead.  (Sorry...this video is a little fuzzy)

Cambelle's Birthday!

We welcomed Cambelle Kay Bernhisel into our family at 12:10 pm on March 18 -- she was 6 lbs 8 oz. and 19" long.  Everything went smoothly, and she and Karee are doing great.  Early indications are that she resembles Caroline when she was born.  Our blog name is officially outdated.

Here is a Caroline Day 1 pic to compare those big eyes and button nose:

Texas Ice Sledding

We haven't had real snow so far this winter, but a nice ice storm gave the kids a few days golf course sledding.

 Little Ninjas

Cole and Carter started their journey toward their goal of becoming a ninja by getting their yellow belt.  This has been great for both of them, especially for Cole to feel confident and excited about his athletic accomplishment.
